The unstability of the business, in general, and rhe deceased of millions of people world-wide, developed a higher consciousness of death and impermanence wich increased the demand of our services in the society.
People turned inside and ask themself vital existencial questions, they are more prepared to Self Developmet and inner work and the demand for our consultancy is in high. Also, many people came across personal problems: many lost their jobs, lost their families and friends, and the need for individual therapy dramatically increased.
When it cones to business, the firts change is in the use of new vocabulary. The message on advertisement and slogans is becoming more humanitarian oriented, and words such as compassion, love and care are now in used. The business sector, soft skills are creating an impact in the settlement of new policies to foster interpersonal and personal attributes that enable individuals to work well with others, adapt to various environments, and effectively manage personal and professional interactions. This is the reason why our services are being requested more than before Covid19.
Victoria Subirana Method has an spectrum of soft skills management and technics, to implement communication, teamwork, adaptability, problem-solving, empathy, leadership, and time management.
I envision an increment of demands and an international projection. As I stated in my previous answers, after the Covid-19, many people realized the necessity of a change of paradigm in the life style and business orientation and the need for a new philosophy is a trend. As a result, researches, studies and investigations are going on. But, the fact that, Victoria Subirana’s Method is successfully implemented for 35 yeas, will be determinant to achieve the highest results and will increase dramatically.
We change country, we’re setting up the basis in a new environment, we are building and constructing the trust of people who don’t know our product well. But we are certain of a well demonstrated evidence of success that will help us to repeat the same model, learn from previous mistakes and go global.
In 2025, we envision to create a “culture” where the study of the main and the acknowledgement of the mind becomes popular, extended, and practiceced in the life of the people.
We settled in Thailand because this country has the best from the East and the best from the West. Is a combination that melts well with our product and creates an amalgam of benefits we value
We are a contemporary Spanish restaurant called Latirra. We offer an extensive selection of Spanish dishes with remarkable taste and style. We also have a beautiful outdoor area to cooperate any events with our partners and associates.
We have started our first restaurant at the latter part of Covid era. Several times the booking were cancelled due to guests having covid. We complied with hygiene standard and regulations advised by the government. We put food safety and hygiene into our normal practice.
The situation of climate change has dramatically affected people around the globe including restaurants and hospitality sectors. This can be involved in many businesses too. For our restaurant, we emphasize on zero waste from every resources for example the water, we stopped using plastic bottles and reuse the glass bottles. For waste management, we segregate the types of garbages so that they can still use certain things to recycle. The product we use is mainly from qualified and standard farm to be free range and friendly to environment. Everything costs us more, however, we still need to contribute our determination to make this world better.
It could be the deflation. I realize people tend to see the politics and economics stability that play a big role to set out a budget for entertaining, spending, starting new businesses.
We will do our best effort to serve our customers and adjust ourselves to the market situation.
We are currently settled in Bangkok.
Banking and Insurance Products and Services
The prevailing digital habits and behaviours that emerged in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic accelerated the digitalization process of the environment in which financial institutions operate.
– Growing focus on customers: with consumers going more and more digital, customer satisfaction is becoming increasingly important while customer loyalty is diminishing.
– Entrance of new non-traditional competitors, such as Fintech and Bigtech digital platforms, with business models that leverage new technologies, raise service quality standards and increase pressure on the sector’s margins.
– Access to data and the ability to generate value from data as an important source of competitive advantage: ability to design personalized products that generate greater value for the customer and that are more adapted to their needs.
– Increase in the use and development of new technologies (such as Cloud, blockchain or generative AI)
Meanwhile, payment habits continue to change. Covid-19 accelerated the trend of decreasing use of cash as a means of payment in favour of electronic means of payment. Moreover, digital payment systems are evolving away from a model dominated almost exclusively by card systems (linked to bank deposits) towards a more mixed model in which Fintech and Big Tech also participate and offer alternative payment solutions supported by new technologies and devices.
On the other hand, Sustainability has become a relevant part of financial institutions strategy, due to:
– Changing consumer preferences: increased interest towards issues related to climate change.
– European authorities and regulators’ strong focus on sustainability and energy transition: medium-term goals of decarbonisation, European Climate Law, ESG reporting requirements, etc
– Greater sensitivity of stakeholders to ESG strategy and goals
Lastly, the macrofinancial context has changed significantly:
– The change in European monetary policy due to high and persistent levels of inflation drove interest rates to positive territory and to higher levels than initially expected, after a prolonged period of ultra-low interest rates.
– Banking sector activity has been conditioned by this tightening of monetary policy,
resulting in a notable contraction in credit volumes.
– Despite the increase in interest rates, credit quality has remained stable.
Caixabank successfully navigated all the challenging backdrops in recent years and the Group faces the future from the strongest financial position in 10+ years.
The digital transformation requires large investments in technology and efforts in innovation, new ways of working and operating, and specialized human capital. On the other hand, digitalization also brings numerous opportunities. With the use of digital technologies, banks can expand their customer base and provide services more efficiently and at a lower cost, without having to expand their physical network.
Furthermore, digitalization also creates new business opportunities (e.g., by offering our digital platforms so that third parties can market their products). In any case,
– The adoption of new technologies, such as generative AI or asset tokenization. The greater maturity and surge of use cases for new technologies in the sector has a high transformative potential as it allows for substantial improvements in productivity and efficiency, and improved customer service and attention. However, the adoption of new technologies also generates the need to adapt business processes and strategies to the new environment.
– The energy transition, which entails both opportunities and risks. On the one hand, achieving a low-carbon economy will require important structural and social changes, and a considerable mobilization of resources (both public and private). The financial sector, as an intermediary between savings and investment, can play a key role in this transition, by advising customers and financing initiatives. On the other hand, the financial sector must also evaluate, integrate, and manage climate financial risks. In this sense, Europe’s decarbonization objectives, together with the regulatory and supervisory obligations, and the NZBA commitments to decarbonize the portfolio that various entities have acquired, lead us to ensure that our clients, especially the most carbon-intensive, effectively adjust their strategies accordingly.
– Demographic changes. Population ageing will impact the demand for financial services in several ways. For instance, population's longer life expectancy will increase demand for advisory and planning services relating to long-term savings. It also impacts the type of products and services that will be demanded (including the surge of new needs, such as the protection of assets, solutions for transmission and succession, dependency services, home adaptability solutions…).
This year we are focused on designing and defining our Strategic Plan for the period 2025-2027 which will set our priorities and goals over the next 3 years. The plan will be unveiled in November 2024.
Strong start to 2024:
– Macro situation better than expected with both Spain and Portugal expected to continue outperforming the Euro Area
– Regarding the Spanish banking sector:
The decrease in reference interest rates since the end of 2023 and the
expectations that this process will continue in 2024 has favored a general increase in loans demand from households and NFC in the first months of 2024.
New mortgage production recovers in early 2024 with the change in interest rate expectations (+5.6% yoy Jan-Mar). New lending for consumption increases favored by improvements of consumer confidence, exceeding pre-COVID-19 levels (+13.8% yoy Jan-Mar). And new lending to corporates grows both in loans under 1M€ and in larger ones (+5.3 yoy Jan-Mar). With data as of Mar'24 (latest available) the credit portfolio to the private sector continues to contract, -0.4% ytd (vs -0.8% ytd a month earlier), because the growth of new loans is still not enough to compensate for credit outflows. The minor contractions in housing (- 2.5% ytd vs -2.4% a month earlier) and non-financial corporations (-0.4% ytd vs – 1.2% a month earlier) stand out.
Customer funds increase 3.0% ytd in Mar'24 due to the increase in assets under management driven by the good performance of the markets and a relevant volume of subscriptions (+4.4% ytd; of which Investment Funds: +4.8% ytd and Pension Plans: +3.1% ytd), savings insurance (+1.3% ytd estimated), and the recovery of deposits (+2.8% ytd). This performance is due to the market conditions, which favours the transfer to savings products.
– High activity levels with positive commercial activity dynamics across the board (new loan production, wealth management, protection insurance).
– Business volume growth ytd
– Seizing market share in Spain and Portugal
– Net income growth yoy with further profitability and efficiency improvement, backed by a solid balance sheet.
– In terms of guidance, this is our expectation for 2024e:
* NII: mid single digit growth yoy
* Revenues from services: low single digit growth yoy
* Recurrent costs: <5% yoy growth
* CoR: c.30 bps
* %NPL: c. 3%
* RoTE: >16%
Living in Singapore.
Albricias Restaurant is a Spanish Restaurant located in the Chatrium Residence Sathon. As the new Executive Chef, I oversee all the outlets but with a focus on creating an exciting Spanish dining experience at Albricias. The hotel itself, is more like a resort, than a hotel you would expect to find in Bangkok. Spacious rooms, a large free-form swimming pool and lush gardens and a large fully equipped Fitness Centre complete with personal trainers makes it perfect for a getaway staycation or business retreat.
The hotel and restaurant business has fully recovered to business levels higher than prior to 2019.
While technology plays a bigger role in how we run a hotel and restaurant and how we communicate with our guests, it is still the personal, authentic caring style of service that people are looking for and makes them come back again and again.
The truth is, I always had that little inner voice telling me that someday I would have to come and work in Asia, but I never thought it would be in Thailand. After the Covid-19 pandemic, observing how the world was operating from Europe, I said to myself, ‘I need to challenge myself on other continents, find a place where I can develop all my skills.’ And destiny brought me here. After a conversation with a friend, he explained to me about life in Thailand, and after that, I made the decision, despite family opinions. My intuition told me that this was the right place to live the best experience of my life. Today, I can confirm that it is, Thailand was the destination I was looking for.
Post-Covid, many toy companies, distributors and retailers are moving they production and sourcing outside of China. Which has benefited us being in Thailand.
In the short term the changes in brick-and-mortar retail space and in the longer term, the declining birth rate in the developed countries.
Great!, Very successful trade fairs and some important milestones achieved.
It’s the land of smiles and family roots.
The balance we will have to find between allowing long-range travel while taking care of the environment. The whole industry will have to learn how to have less environmental impact and Thailand will have to better distribute tourists so as not to overcrowd destinations. Nobody wants to travel to an over-crowded place.

Covid made a lot of people understand the importance of having a strong and fit body for health, or, in other words, the consequences of being weak and not in shape.
Post-Covid, more people than ever realized that they needed to start taking care of themselves. This is why I decided to start WOW (Wealth of Wellness), a company dedicated to covering this demand at the highest level.
The primary challenge will be to differentiate our personal coaching service from AI-based alternatives. While AI is gaining strength and can be a useful tool, we are committed to providing a personalized, hands-on approach that cannot be replicated by technology alone. With our strong focus on building trusted client relationships, offering individualized guidance, and delivering exceptional support, we aim to ensure that our service stands out and remains indispensable in a world increasingly driven by AI.
Full of energy, stronger and fitter than ever.
The service we offer Restaurants/Hospitality/food and Beverage.
Japanese-Spanish fusion concept.
After Covid-19 customers are more focused on relaxed dining minding more good interpersonal relationships and appreciating a more comforting dining environment.
Considering these changes, the industry has to get along with it and understand the customer type and preferences are changing therefore we have to adapt and understand customers’ expectations.

My envision for 2024 is holding success and expansion.
First time I came to work temporarily to BKK from Hong Kong in 2018 felt that this was the next place to be as felt in love with the country, the culture, the people and of course the gastronomy.
Best Global Logistics offers tailored & innovative “end to end” transportation and logistics services in Thailand and Globally.
The post Covid 19 era has affect BGL in terms of the slow down of global demand for ocean freight and air cargo services.
The primary current challenge is to generate more customers to compensate for the existing customer reduction in their volumes (export & import) as demand dropped globally. Continue to implement smart IT solutions & tools like Co2 measuring for customers. Also managing the payment to BGL be timely of customers and oversea partners.
Melia Koh Samui is a part of the tourism industry. This hotel is a fusion of the stunning maritime environment in southern Thailand. Located on the peaceful Choeng Mon Beach, the hotel provides exceptional facilities, exquisite services, high end gastronomy and a location near all the main attractions on the island.
– Genuine Spanish hospitality.
– Great passion for service.
– Warmth and spontaneity.
Tourism industry businesses have been hit very hard. Our organization during 2023 has recovered all the business lost if compared to 2019 before covid 19. We did by trusting each other, being patient, and seeing obstacles as an opportunity for us to develop our resources and personnel to be better prepared to shine again.
It’s an opportunity to take a look back to our self to realize what we are missing, and these changes will impact our excellency of service, develop ourselves to be above and beyond, and provide flawless service to our guests.
Nowadays one of the biggest challenges we have is bringing back all the people that left the industry during covid-19, I would say bring new and retain talent its one of our priorities.
Hopefully with an increase in our portfolio of Melia Hotels in Thailand. We have 3 hotels: Melia Chiang Mai, Melia Phuket Maikao and Melia Koh Samui. This July we open our fourth hotel Innside Bangkok Sukhumvit.
Thailand is a country rich in natural resources, unique culture and amazing people. If there is an opportunity to manage the hotel here… who could refuse that invitation?

Ebisu Foods is an importer of food products from many countries. We distribute our products to restaurants, cafes, hotels, manufacturers and catering services.
We strive to improve our product portfolio every year to satisfy our customers, but managing an increasing product range also comes with the challenges of stock management.
We are implementing various technological changes such as new enterprise resource systems and warehouse management systems to make our operations more efficient.
Inflationary pressures in Europe has increased our cost significantly whether it is raw material or logistic costs, this in turn has impacted our customers such as restaurants who themselves have to adapt to the situation.
Professional espresso machines supported with roasted coffee.
Change of priorities.

Within covid times many of our clients were struggled, mainly travel agencies, restaurants, bars, airlines, but it affected all of us in a greater or lesser way.
At post-covid era, things are coming back to normal, and many of these Companies are recovering well, and at the same time other new companies are coming to Thailand after 3 years with their plans frozen, so we are optimistic, even with the new challenges coming.
In the Accounting line of our business, the starting of the year is always a busy period, as on top of the monthly accounting closings and monthly tax submissions, we need to start the yearly closing for most of our Clients.
Inflation is a big challenge for us because as a service Company, since mainly all our cost increase significantly.
I came to Thailand around 20 years ago, following a project of a Spanish multinational that finally could not be launched for some legal reasons. But I enjoyed my stay Thailand and decided to stay in the Country undertaking other projects on my own.

Despite the needs of working remotely and the difficulty of assisting our users at site the demand for our products and services has remain high during and post-Covid. Thus the company has been able maintain continuous growth both in technological capabilities and turnover during this years.
For the last year we have been navigating the post-Covid supply chains issues and the rising costs of the raw materials required to manufacture our products. I would say the situation is greatly improving lately though.
I have just been blessed with a beautiful baby in December so trying to find the balance in between my new responsibilities and the operation of the business.
Our close relationship for more than 15 years with our Thai partners and users combined with the suitability of Bangkok as a flight hub to access ASEAN countries made the cut for us. Personally the time in Thailand has been a pleasure and an amazing experience for the last 8 years.
Our main market target is a B2B business with more emphasize in the HORECA channel, so it is true that during COVID we suffer a decrease in sales. However, after COVID, we are starting to recover and reaching very good sales in the last year.
We believe that Thailand is a potential market in which having loyal clients and a well-known brand, can guaranteed us the objectives of expansion that we are following.
Travel Technology for Airlines, Airports, Hotels, Travel Agencies, and more. Amadeus has had a regional headquarters in Bangkok for 25 years.

Petrochemical manufacturing.

We are in the Petrochemical, Packaging Business and it was positive for us during covid time.
We are working more towards recycling / climate change impact & sustainability.
Normal business challenge.
We are in good shape need to be more proactive for sustainability and recycling of our product.
The covid pandemic has been quite challenging. We have had to strengthen our safety protocols in order to secure a safe working environment for our team.
All that is currently happening in the world (covid, international conflicts etc) is affecting every person/company to a certain degree. We will need to be proactive, agile and flexible to adapt to the new situation that is changing constantly.
As usual we will start the new year with a lot of enthusiasm and ready to implement all the new projects we have ahead.
ORBIS offers 1) dedicated and 2) personalized services in view of building 3) long-lasting relationships with its clients.
ORBIS relies significantly on the growth of its clients. Since Covid-19 has impacted a major number of our clients, putting on hold their projects or slowing down their activity and the consequent need of support, our firm has been obviously affected by the pandemic.
The significant impact will concerns the method of work to operate and execute our services. We expect more services to be digitally executed.
The significant impact will concerns the method of work to operate and execute our services. We expect more services to be digitally executed.
Our main challenge is currently to adapt our services to the multiple regulatory changes resulting from the pandemic crisis.
Our firm has been appointed to assist clients in new set-up projects. We can also notice a new trend of companies moving their activities from China to SEA in general and Thailand in particular.
I was looking for a professional challenge outside Europe and Thailand became the best opportunity not only to fulfill such challenge but also to gain an entrepreneurial experience.
Since animals and humans kept eating during COVID, this challenging time has not affected us as much as other industries. Is true that rocketing prices of logistics has been a big handicap.
The biggest impact for us will be the service of our laboratory with an international certification that will allow us to expand worldwide from the analytical services point of view.
The main challenge now are the high prices that we are experiencing due to inflation and we will have to adapt to the needs of the customers and navigate through this situation.
We will start the year with the opening of a production factory that will provide us more flexibility to supply our customers.
We decided to come to Thailand and create our own structure to become the headquarters of the Asia Pacific region. Bangkok is very well located with good communications and also holds one of the biggest fairs of our sector in the region.

14 years ago, a sabatic year along with the 2008 Real Estate crisis and World wide crisis made me find a job and grow my career in Thailand. Nothing planned, just one objective: keep moving forward!
Covid-19 totally changes our world. Our challenge during COVID-19 pandemic is supply management of commercialized products. We have to ensure that all patients can continue to receive their prescribed medications smoothly while Siam Bioscience had to take responsibility for Covid-19 vaccine manufacturing during that period. All of our commercialized products are essential medicines. Their demand were increased dramatically during Covid-19 Pandemic.
Moreover our company adapted its capability to serve healthcare need regarding to the pandemic especially during the early era of the pandemic. There was a medical supply shortage even a simple thing like 70% Alcohol (disinfectant). So we produced it and donated to the hospitals/clinics across country . We also collaborated with a government institute to develop COVITECT, the RT-PCR diagnostic kit to help our country in this crisis.
To us, Covid-19 pandemic is not over yet but life has to go on. We are preparing to launch new products.
Obtaining an EU marketing authorization. We submitted our application to the European Medicines Agency for one of our own developed product.
Exeltis is the consumer business unit of the Spanish group Insud Pharma. We are a
pharmaceutical company focused in women’s health.
We develop, manufacture and commercialize products devoted to women’s health, in all stages of their life. We have our own R&D, manufacturing capacities and sales team.
In Thailand we are one of the most respected companies in women’s health by consumers and clients, so this has put us in very good position to be strong despite the crisis.
Women’s health is a basic need in Thailand, and our ambition is to invest in this country to achieve the number 1 position in this market, and to improve the health of all the women in
Thailand.
On the one hand we strive to bring more products that are needed in Thailand, and on the other hand we need to maximize our current portfolio. Doing this in a harmonious way can be
challenging at times.
We are launching 2 new products this year, and we are already preparing the launches, and at the same time we are starting to implement all the tactical plans to make sure that we can serve the Thai population. It is quite hectic time right now.
I was working in Madrid at Insudpharma in regional role, and I wanted to have a more functional role in a country. 4 years ago I was offered the opportunity to come to Thailand to lead the Thai organization, and since them I am now heading the whole region.
Padel is one of the fastest growing sports in the world in terms of players and courts. In Asia the
sport is quite recent and our mision at Padel Asia is to develop Padel in Thailand and
make it as popular as it is worldwide.
Padel Asia is the one stop partner for any Padel need in Thailand. We bring all the material needed to practice the sport, we can build the courts, and of course we teach anybody to play padel or to improve their level. This year we want to start the Thai National championship.
On the one hand it has limited us because we had to stop our plans for the Thai national championships, but on the positive side we have experienced that a lot of people started to play padel as it is a way to be active while other places were closed.
Padel is becoming very popular in Asia. In Thailand we have increased the number of courts available, and also we have more than 3000 people that have played with us. We are pretty sure
that that we will increase the numbers of courts and people in the years to come. Padel is a sport that is easy at the beginning and is very addictive.
We need to manage our growth wisely, we are a very dynamic team, but also our time is limited, we need to prioritize to be sure that we can achieve our desired growth, and we are convinced that we will do it.
We are currently very active. We are building new courts , also we are talking to different stakeholders to find new Padel locations, and also we are starting to organize the Padel national championship.
I came to Thailand to work on the hospitality business, at the same time in Spain I was a semi-professional soccer player, this open me many doors to be involved in sports in Thailand, and Padel came natural , as is a sport that I am passionate about, and I believe will be a very popular sport in this country.
